PICKENS — County officials and staff are looking at ways to find funding to pay for extending a sidewalk in Pickens to the Pickens County Detention Center.

Pickens County Council voted to approve an updated resolution “authorizing a pedestrian traffic study in order to provide for more safe and efficient operation of the Pickens County Detention Center”  during its Sept. 9 meeting.
