Sounds like an idyllic life, right?

Dear Editor,

From the day they come into the world, their lives are taken care of. Free food, free water, free place to live. No cares in the world. Heat and air-conditioning provided, yes, free too.

Sounds like an idyllic life, doesn’t it! Yes, and it is! That is until the day the truck comes and they are loaded up to be carried away to the slaughterhouse! I’m talking about chickens.

They do have everything I described, but with a price. As it’s been said, “There are no free lunches.” So
