The Pickens Golf Club clubhouse is now open. On Nov. 7, co-owner Duane Bishop and Miss South Carolina Davis Wash cut the ribbon on the new clubhouse. The clubhouse offers a pro shop, audio-visual meeting room, a lounge area with club memorabilia and a brand-new full-service restaurant and bar — Tavern 53, open to both members and the public, bringing a fresh dining option to the community. The name Tavern 53 celebrates the rich history of the Pickens Country Club, established in 1953. Tavern 53 is a modern American restaurant that features dishes like chicken and waffles, smash burgers, pizza, wings and much more.
