Marker documents bank building’s history in Six Mile

SIX MILE — For much of its existence, a building on Six Mile’s North Main Street has served the community as a bank.
That service is reflected on a historic marker on the building that was unveiled on Dec. 17.
“Back in 2016, the town of Six Mile dedicated this site as a historic landmark,” Six Mile Mayor James Atkinson said outside the bank, which today operates as a branch of Pickens Savings and Loan.
