EASLEY — An Easley man lost his life after the moped he was driving collided with a van on Saturday evening.

According to a release from Pickens County Coroner Kandy Kelley, Roy Alderman Jr., 25, was driving a moped at the intersection of Hillcrest Drive and Fleetwood Drive in Easley ta about 7:30 p.m. when he ran a stop sign and struck a van.

Alderman was pronounced dead at Baptist Easley Hospital from multiple blunt force traumas, Kelley said.

The accident is being investigated by the Easley Police Department.
