EASLEY — Baptist Easley Hospital recently named Roger Boatwright, M.D., the Cam Underhill Practicing Excellence Physician of the Quarter. The award is based on the Baptist Easley Medical Staff Standards of Behavior: Integrity, Compassion, and Competence.

Excerpts from Dr. Boatwright’s nominations read: “He’s very calming; I feel secure. His staff is also very polite, warm, considerate and made me feel like they really are interested and care about me.”
“This physician not only listens but also hears what I have to say. He explains fully the answers to all my questions and takes time to dig deeper when answers are not obvious. He is always respectful and allows me my dignity. He is a gentle man as well as a gentleman.”

“Dr. Boatwright is our family’s doctor, and my wife and I think he is superb. He’s caring and up-front in his treatment for us in the seven or eight years he has treated us. I have shown considerable improvement since coming to him.”
