Local municipalities set to hold elections Tuesday, November 5
COUNTY- The city of Liberty will elect its mayor as five municipalities hold elections next Tuesday.
Mayor Michael Sheriff will face Eric Broughman in the Liberty’s mayor’s election. Also for Liberty City Council At Large seat Brian Deese will face Chuck Powell.
Precincts include 128 Rices Creek – Liberty First Baptist Church, 403 Edgemont Avenue, Liberty, SC, 29657; 129 West Liberty – Calumet Baptist Church, 400 S. Peachtree Street, Liberty, SC 29657; 130 East Liberty – Eastside Baptist Church, 920 Anderson Drive, Liberty, SC 29657; 155 North Liberty – Liberty First Baptist Church, Liberty, S.C.
In Pickens, voters will select three city councilmen from: Carl H. Allmond, Jimmy Lee Davis, Carlton A. Holley Jr.; Patrick W. Lark; and Donald McKinney.
City of Pickens voting locations include: 123 South Pickens – Update: due to renovations at Holy Cross Catholic Church, voters will vote at Pickens Elementary School, 567 Hampton Ave., Pickens 29671; 121 North Pickens – Pickens Fire Station, 302 Johnson Street, Pickens, SC 29671; 122 West Pickens – Pickens Fire Station, 302 Johnson Street, Pickens, SC 29671; 124 East Pickens – Pickens Fire Station, 302 Johnson Street, Pickens, SC 29671; 125 Glassy Mountain – Pickens Fire Station, 302 Johnson Street, Pickens, SC 29671; 154 Crescent Hill – Pickens Fire Station, 302 Johnson Street, Pickens, SC 29671.
In Easley Liibby Dodson will face former Easley Chamber of Commerce Director Kent Dykes.
Easley precincts include: 132 Zion – Brushy Creek Baptist Church, 100 Clay Street, Easley, SC 29642; 138 Brushy Creek – Brushy Creek Baptist Church, 100 Clay Street, Easley, SC 29642; 141 Forest Acres — St. Mathias Lutheran Church, 501 Powdersville Road, Easley, SC 29642; 142bCrestview – Smithfields Country Club – 100 Pine Ridge Drive, Easley, SC 29642; 158 Pope Field – Brushy Creek Baptist Church, 100 Clay Street, Easley, SC 29642; 159 Sheffield – St. Mathias Lutheran Church, 501 Powdersville Road, Easley, SC 29642; 164 Hunt Meadows (Anderson County) – Brushy Creek Baptist Church, 100 Clay Street, Easley, SC 29642.
Three seats are being decided on Central Town Council. Candidates include Paige H. Bowers, Benjie Cumbie, Ken Dill and Steven H. Farmer.

Two at-large seats on town council are up for election next Tuesday. Candidates include Lawrence McClure, Wendell Melton and Brian Norris,
The only voting precinct for Norris is 112 Norris – Norris Town Hall, 100 E. Jameson Street, Norris, SC 20667.
