EASLEY — A town hall meeting and grand opening of the Gettys Middle School Auditorium has been rescheduled for Feb. 25 at 6:30 p.m.

The event was previously scheduled for Jan. 9.

Officials have planned the event to unveil improvements made to the auditorium, which was first built in 1939.

The town hall meeting is the second of two meetings with the theme of “Ask Anything.” Dr. Kelly Pew, district superintendent, will present information about the state of the district before a question-and-answer session with parents and community members. The first meeting was held on Nov. 5 at Daniel High School and offered a chance for a constructive conversation about local schools.

The public is encouraged to send in questions before the meeting by emailing them to ask@pickens.k12.sc.us.

The meeting was rescheduled to allow more time to finish renovations on the auditorium before the opening.
