CENTRAL — Linda Smith Cheek will discuss her new book about the Arial Mill Village with the members of the Old Pendleton District Chapter of the S.C. Genealogical Society on Tuesday, Jan. 21 from 7-9 p.m. at the Clemson-Central Library, 105 Commons Way, off Highway 93 in Central.

Cheek will speak about the Arial community; the people who lived there and their genealogies. If time permits, she has an interesting story about  her experience with her Smith yDNA test.

She is a 22-year member of Old Pendleton District Genealogical Society and is the former Editor of the chapter’s newsletter. Cheek is also the author of two books on the Smiths, Genealogies of Old Pendleton District SC, Volumes 1, II, III and IV, and Volume A and Volume C Deed Books of Pickens County, SC.
