Runoffs set for Tuesday

STATE — South Carolina voters will have one last chance to choose their candidates for November’s general election, as a runoff election will be held Tuesday.
The only races on the ballot will be for state offices.
Mike Campbell, who finished third in the lieutenant governor race in the June 9 primary, became eligible for the runoff after Pat McKinney, who placed second in the race, dropped out. Campbell and Henry McMaster will face off Tuesday in a runoff election, as will Republican candidates for state superintendent of education Sally Atwater and Molly Mitchell Spearman.
The only race on the Democratic runoff ticket is for state superintendent of education, as Sheila C. Gallager faces Tom Thompson.
