Guardian ad Litem Oyster Roast coming up
EASLEY — Friends of Pickens County Guardian ad Litem cordially invite the community to the first-ever Clusters for Kids Oyster Roast.
The event will be held Saturday, Nov. 1, from 5:30-8:30 p.m., at Arran Farm, home of Daniel and Janice Lee, at 820 Lenhardt Road in Easley.
Honorary chair of the first-annual Clusters for Kids Oyster Roast will be Senator Larry Martin.
The evening will include roasted oysters and southern-style buffet, along with beer and wine, music, silent auction, cornhole competitions and more.
Silent auction items include signed Tajh Boyd and Jadeveon Clowney jerseys, plus numerous other amazing items.
Ticket prices are $50 individually and $90 per couple; with a limited number of tickets available at the door for $75 each; and may be purchased online at www.friendspcgal.org (PayPal) or locally in Easley at Corks, Corky’s, Michael Pizzeria, Nalley’s, Royal Spirits, Upstate School Spirit; in Liberty at Liberty Family Pharmacy, Nalley’s; in Pickens at Head First, Town & Country Florist; adn in Clemson at Boscobel and Goober’s.
Proceeds from the evening will go to funding of the Friends of Pickens County Guardian ad Litem programs that touch the lives of the neglected and abused children of Pickens County through annual Heart & Sole Back to School Shopping day, annual Spring Fling, clothes closet at Pickens County DSS office, camps, tutoring, medical assistance, training and support of Guardian ad Litem volunteers and many other requests that are not covered through state programs.
The Friends of Pickens County guardian ad Litem has been providing financial assistance since 2002 to neglected and abused children of Pickens County and the Guardian ad Litem Program of Pickens County.
In addition to the oyster roast on Saturday, Nov. 1, Corky’s Wine & Humidor will be hosting a Block Party, with proceeds going to the Friends of Pickens County Guardian ad Litem.
The Block Party will be held at 1350 Crestview Road, Easley SC from 9 p.m. to midnight and will include live music.
