LIBERTY — The Liberty Red Devil baseball team will host its first annual Military Appreciation game this Friday night at 6 p.m. when the Carolina Trojans visit LHS.

The team will honor military veterans in all branches of service and in different eras. Also at the game, donations will be taken for “Honor Flight,” a non-profit organization established to fly military veterans to Washington, D.C., to see their war memorial.

The Army National Guard will have various military equipment on site for public viewing.
“We encourage all veterans and active personnel to enjoy a night of great baseball in their honor,” LHS athletic director Sherry Haithcock said.
Admission price is $5.
