Annual Merck Mountain Music Fest Spring Jam

CENTRAL — The second annual Merck Mountain Music Fest Spring Jam to benefit Helping Hands of Clemson is scheduled for April 17-18 in Central.

The event, which will be held at Merck Mountain Mig Welding at 310 Browning Road, will host 12 bands who are donating their time and efforts for free.

Currently scheduled to appear are the West End String Band, the Hillary Keane Project, Americana Train Wreck, TJ Lazer and the New Detroits, Chad Kimball, Vilai Harrington, Twin Courage, Tiger Junction, the Us Band, Five40, the Eric Weiler Group, the Marcus King Band and Lionz of Zion.

The entry fee for the two-day event is $15, and free camping is available on-site. Vendors will be available selling food, clothing and arts and crafts.

There will be no alcohol sales, but attendees are welcome to bring coolers. No bottles or glass are allowed, and no pets other than service animals will be admitted.

The music will start at 6 p.m. on Friday, April 17, and last into the night. On Saturday, April 18, the music will kick off at noon and run into the night.
