Azalea Fest to kick off on April 17

PICKENS — The 31st annual Pickens Azalea Festival is set for April 17-18.

Pickens’ Main Street will close at 6 p.m. on April 17 to kick off the festival with the annual Friday night classic car cruise-in at 7 p.m. Classic cars, trucks, jeeps and motorcycles are welcome for the free event.

Main stage entertainment will be provided by Still Cruzin, which plays a variety of music to please every ear, including beach, R&B, country, Motown and rock.

Space is still available for arts and crafts vendors, commercial businesses and civic/non-profit organizations to display at the festival on Saturday. Applications are available at pickensazaleafestival.org, as is sponsorship information.
