Books needed for PCLA spring sale
COUNTY — The Pickens County Literacy Association is once again seeking donations of gently used books for its upcoming used book sale scheduled for May 1-2 at Pickens Presbyterian Church.
Items needed include books of all types, video and audio cassettes, CDs and DVDs.
Now in its 10th year, the semi-annual event is the PCLA’s major fundraiser. Its ongoing success is due to the generosity of those who donate books, as well as those who shop at the semi-annual sales.
In Pickens, donations can be dropped off at the Blue Ridge Electric Cooperative office, Grace United Methodist Church, Holy Cross Catholic Church, Pickens First Baptist Church, Pickens Savings and Loan and Pickens Federal Credit Union.
In Easley, donations can be taken to Custom Cleaners, Fred’s Pharmacy, Kelly’s Pharmacy and Robin’s Laundromat.
Donations can also be taken to Central Town Hall and Family Medicine Associates in Clemson.
