Cannon, City of Pickens looking for sponsors for Trick or Treat on Main

PICKENS — Halloween 2013 is just around the corner, and Cannon Memorial Hospital and the City of Pickens are gearing up for the annual Trick or Treat on Main.

The organizers would like for all businesses to join them in making the event a wonderful community event and a huge success.

This year’s Trick or Treat on Main will be held on Saturday, Oct. 26, from 5-8 p.m.. Last year more than 3,000 children and parents attended the event, and Cannon Memorial Hospital expects the same, if not more this year.

Trick or Treat on Main provides a safe, fun environment for children and parents to enjoy a night of trick or treating, and this year visitors will also enjoy a family friendly movie, free popcorn, and a costume contest.

Cannon Memorial invites organizations or businesses to sponsor a booth at Trick or Treat on Main.

There is no charge to be a sponsor. Cannon asks participants to creatively decorate a booth, dress up in a Halloween-themed costume (nothing scary), and hand out candy.

Due to the fact that the event has grown drastically in the last few years, Cannon is asking participants to provide at least 50 large bags of candy for their booths, and no soliciting or selling items will be allowed.

Only candy is permitted to be handed out.

If you are interested in participating in this event, please call Amanda Cooper at (864) 898-1334 or Steven Evans at (864) 898-1252., or e-mail acooper@cmhsc.org.
