PICKENS — Cannon Memorial Hospital recently celebrated National Hospital Week by recognizing employees who have given years of service to the organization. 
31 employees gave a combined total of 360 years of service. Included in the recognitions was the Department Manager of the Year, which was awarded to Joyce Abercrombie, Director of Materials Management, and fellow employees voted Lola Rowland, Ward Secretary for Med/Surg as the Employee of the Year.
Employees recognized for their years of service to Cannon Hospital included: Five years — Lynda Cappell, Katrina Owens, Amanda Dow, Teresa Holder, Deborah Bryson, Brian Cole, Melissa Littleton, Hilary Hall, Katie Alexander and Carolyn Garrett. 10 years of service — Lynn Hoxit, Denise Holliday, Ursula Almond, Tracy Raines, Rita Anderson, Kim Reeves, Anthony Crain, Debbie Lewis, Liz Black, Rebekah Hemphill, and Donna Dell. 15 years of service — Karen O’Bryant, Bonnie Cassell and Marti Ward. 20 years of service — Tony Spangler and Suzi Hendricks. 25 years of service — DeNear Roach and Donna Anderson. 35 years of service — Debbie Campbell.
