SIX MILE — Our Bank, a division of Carolina Premier Bank and the Town of Six Mile recently announced the grand opening of the bank’s offices in the refurbished historic bank building located at 115 N. Main Street, Six Mile.

To celebrate the official opening, Our Bank will be hosting a week-long celebration the week of April 28. Throughout the week, the community is invited to stop in for coffee and pastries in the morning or for afternoon treats. There will be drawings for a gift each day at 5 p.m.

The official grand opening celebration will take place on Thursday, May 1, with an old-fashioned themed party in the bank’s parking lot. There will be fun for the whole family including a bounce house, balloons and several fun giveaways for the kids. The community is invited to join in the celebration from 5-8 p.m. Prizes will be given away including a commemorative “Our Bank” vault.

“We are very excited to be celebrating our official grand opening in the fully refurbished bank building constructed in 1919, when the Bank of Six Mile was chartered. The community has had a bank in the same location for 94 years until it was closed last year by one of the major regional banks,” said John S. Kreighbaum, President and CEO of the bank. “The building has been totally redesigned inside to capture timeless charm of how banking was with a modern appeal. The thought of a week-long celebration would be a great way for the community to drop by and get reacquainted with Rachel Adams and Addie Burrell, who have joined our bank, as well as other ‘Our Bank’ team members.”

Located at 115 North Main St., the banking center features a unique community meeting table, refreshments, teller pods, private office and one of the most advanced drive-up ATMs in the nation.

The new bank also features electronics and video access and will offer customers a full range of products including traditional, personal and commercial loan and deposit solutions, with the added capacity for residential mortgage lending.

The ribbon cutting ceremony will commence at 6 p.m. May 1 along with special presentations.

The bank also intends to express appreciation to local volunteers who assisted in renovations to the historical bank building and to introduce its local community advisory board.
