SWU now offering scholarships to Tri-County Tech nursing graduates
CENTRAL — Southern Wesleyan University is awarding a 10 percent scholarship to associate-level nursing graduates from Tri-County Technical College who enroll in the RN to BSN program.
The scholarship will be applied proportionately to each course of the entire RN to BSN program and will apply only toward tuition costs.

Pickens scouts earn Eagle rank
PICKENS — Scout Troop 51 of Pickens recently awarded the rank of Eagle Scout to Joseph Clinard and Justin Hemphill.
Eagle is the highest rank in Boy Scouts, and only a very small percentage of scouts reach this lofty goal, as it recognizes many years of dedication and leadership of scouts who have “hiked” the Eagle Trail.

Housewarming held
Bob and Carol Floriani, new residents of the Foothills Independent Living neighborhood in Easley. hosted friends at the “Great Oak Way and Frasier Fir” housewarming. The event, held Monday, Jan. 15, allowed residents to “show off” their new home to friends and families.
