EASLEY — Mr. Leonard Bennett “Ben” Greer Jr., 77, husband of Patricia Sorrells Greer, passed away Sunday, May 6, 2018.
He was predeceased by his parents, Leonard B. Greer and Ada McCollum Greer; four brothers, Furman McCollum, Hughey Greer, John Greer and Jim Greer; and one sister, Margaret Thigpen.

Virginia Ann Barrett
EASLEY — Virginia Ann Hardy Barrett, 60, went to be with her Lord and Savior Tuesday, April 24, 2018.
Born in Pickens County, a daughter of the late Raymond Carl Hardy and the late Doris Virginia Richards Childress, Mrs. Barrett retired from the textile industry and was a member of Jones Avenue Baptist Church. Ann was a loving mother, grandmother and friend to all. She will be dearly missed.

Bill Bowers Sr.
SIX MILE — After a long and virtuous life of 91 years, Bill G. Bowers Sr., a lifelong resident of Six Mile, died peacefully Sunday, April 22, 2018, at Richard M. Campbell Veterans Home in Anderson.
Born May 17, 1926, in Six Mile, he was the son of the late Elbert Gordon Bowers and Nancy Gravely Bowers. Bill’s wife of 69 years, Elizabeth Freeman “Lib” Bowers, was by his side as he slipped into the presence of Jesus.
He loved the Lord and His creation, particularly nature and timberlands, music, church, honest men and his family.
Mr. Bowers and his nine siblings grew up in the Gap Hill community of Six Mile.
He was educated on the family farm and in the historic Palestine Schoolhouse on the banks of the Keowee River. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1944 and served in the 11th Armored Division

Della Thompson
EASLEY — Della Thompson, wife to Richard Glenn Thompson, passed away on Sunday, April 8, 2018.
Born in Easley, a daughter to the late Henry Albertson and the late Ruby Bishop Albertson, she was a hairdresser for more than 40 years and was a cherished member of Rock Springs Baptist Church. She loved cooking, decorating and yardwork, but most of all, her family.

LIBERTY — Edward Reed, 65, of 117 Piney Trail, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 2, 2018, at his residence.
Born in Rhine, Ga., he was a son of the late Halen and Estelle Whitehead Reed.
He retired from CES in Greenville and was of the Baptist faith.

Jack Townsend
EASLEY — Mr. Jack Townsend Jr., 90, passed away on Wednesday, March 28, 2018, with family at his bedside, after a long illness.
Jack was a devout Christian who taught Sunday school for many years, as well as served as a deacon. He was a charter member of Calvary Hill Baptist Church. A member of Easley Rotary Club, Jack was a two-time Paul Harris award recipient. His passions were Jesus and telling others about Him, his family, flying and selling cars.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Jackie Day; his parents, Luna Moon and Jack Townsend Sr., two sisters and a brother.
Left to grieve his passing are his wife of 70 years, Florence; son, Stan Townsend (Dianne);

EASLEY — Mrs. Lydia Lee Toledo Kelley, 78, wife of Wilton James Kelley Sr., passed away Monday, March 26, 2018.
Born in Hilo, Hawaii, the daughter of the late Freddrick Toledo, Mrs. Kelley retired from the Glenwood Division of Mayfair Mills with 22 years of service and later retired from Walmart. She was a member of Jones Avenue Baptist Church.

Diana Lynn T. Moody
LIBERTY — Mrs. Diana Lynn Tovrea Moody, 64, wife of Robert Louis Moody, passed away Sunday, March 18, 2018.
Born in Aurora, Ill., a daughter of the late James Charles and Mattie Frances Daughtry Tovrea, Mrs. Moody received her associate degree from Tri-County Technical College and was the manager of faculty services at Southern Wesleyan University. She was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving, in addition to her husband of 44 years, are a daughter, Rebecca Lynn Moody Banks of Liberty; two sons, James Robert Moody of Liberty and Stephen Philip Moody (Samantha) of Greenville; three sisters, Kathleen Jean Tovrea and Loretta Sylvia Tovrea, both of Greenville, and Sally Jean Tovrea George of Liberty; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild on the way.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road. Burial

LIBERTY — Bo Ramey, 80, husband of Ruby Lee Nabors Ramey, passed from this life Tuesday, March 6, 2017.
Born in Oconee County, he was a son of the late Lewis and Ludy Ramey. Bo was a member of Tabor United Methodist Church, an avid golfer and a veteran of the United States Navy.

PICKENS — Jane Ellen Atkinson Craig of Pickens died peacefully surrounded by her family on Feb. 27, 2018.
Jane was born on Jan. 8, 1933, in Orangeburg. She was predeceased by her parents, Aubrey Law and Edna Hough Atkinson. Jane graduated in 1951 from Greenwood High School and Winthrop College in 1955. Jane married her husband of more than 60 years, Olin Lemuel Craig, on May 18, 1957.
