Cora Lee Pickens
EASLEY — Peacefully on the morning of May 22, 2017, The Lord called Cora Lee Pickens home to get her eternal rest.
She was born on Oct. 30, 1938, to the late Waddy and Ethel Bowens. Cora was a lady of few words but had a heart of gold and would give her last to please others.
Cora passed away peacefully at Baptist Easley Hospital.
Cora was a hard worker and was an employee of Easley Living Center for many years

Suzy Chappell
Central — Rhonda Lynn “Suzy” Hendricks Chappell, 54, of 302 Taylor St., died Monday, May 22, 2017, at Cottingham Hospice House in Seneca.
Born in Easley, she was the daughter of Carol Glenda Hughes Chastain of Central and the late Jesse Ruben Hendricks. She had previously worked at American Funeral Financial and was of the Church of God faith.
Surviving, in addition to her mother of Central, are two daughters, Stephanie Hopkins of Liberty and Brittany Chappell of Belton; six grandchildren, Tim Swaney, McKenzie Swaney, Jesi Trotter, Chase Hopkins, Everleigh Greer and Tiffany

Born in Pickens, she was a daughter of the late David Luke and Mattie Christine Evans Winchester. She was a member of First Baptist Church serving on several committees. Eustis, Fla. — Mildred Herd Himes, 85, formerly of Liberty, passed away on April 28, 2017, at home in Florida.
Born in Pickens County, she was the daughter of Dennis Guy and Nora Elizabeth Smith Herd. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Liberty.

Dacusville — John Carl Futrell, 72, passed from this life on Wednesday, April 19, 2017.
John was born in Roane County, Tenn., a son of the late John Henry and Mary Ethel Smith Futrell. He was a retired carpenter and he was a member of Jones Hill Church of God.
Survivors include a son, Michael Futrell; and daughters, Teresa Cox and Sandra Moore; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Holliday is the wife of the late James Thomas Holliday and the daughter of the late Thomas Henry Falls and Susan Ann Falls.
Mrs. Holliday worked as a homemaker and was a member of the Ridgeland Drive Baptist Church.
