Eston Foster

Liberty — C. Eston Foster, 76, of 8217 Liberty Highway, died Tuesday, June 9, 2015, at his residence.

Born in Pelzer, he was a son of the late Columbus Ransom and Merlie Black Foster.

He worked his whole life as a carpenter. He was a member of Flat Rock Baptist Church and during his free time loved to do woodworking, play golf and read.

Rick Nimmons
Six Mile — Richard K. “Rick” Nimmons, 60, of 5210 Six Mile Highway, died Monday, June 8, 2015, at St. Francis Hospital.
Born in Pickens, he was a son of the late Clarence and Ruby Bryant Nimmons. He was a graduate of D.W. Daniel High School and Tri-County Tech. He was an avid South Carolina Gamecock fan and loved his Daniel High School athletics, but more especially he loved spending time with his nieces and nephew. He was of the Baptist faith.
Rick was loved by all who knew him. Many knew him as “Big Rick” when they came into the Six Mile Cafe and were greeted by his smiling face, always ready to talk football. Rick loved kids and always had candy waiting on them when their parents came to the checkout at the register.
Others remember Rick from his dedication to his D.W. Daniel Lions, cheering them on at all their games.

Nellie Hendricks

Central — Nellie L. Hendricks, 83, passed away on Monday, May 25, 2015, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

Miss Hendricks was born in Pickens County, a daughter of the late Lem and Rhoda Gray Hendricks, and was retired from Pratt-Reed Inc.

Florence Sargent

Liberty — Florence Davis Sargent, 94, of 603 Anderson Drive, passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2015, at Cannon Memorial Hospital.

Born in Liberty, she was the widow of Lloyd L. “Mutt” Sargent and a daughter of the late Rev. James A. and Etta Sue Owen Davis.

She retired from Dan River Mills, where she worked as an executive secretary. Mrs.

Norris — Inez Ross Bryant, 78, of 400 N. Norris Drive, died Tuesday, May 5, 2015, at Cannon Memorial Hospital in Pickens.

Born in Oconee County, she was the widow of Jack Anderson Bryant and was a daughter of the late J.B. and Brodie Ables Ross. She was retired from Libco Mills and was of the Baptist faith.

Frances Elizabeth Masters Bigby

Pickens — Mrs. Frances Elizabeth Masters Bigby, 74, of 115 Henderson St., Pickens, loving wife of Jesse Bigby Jr., went home to be with her savior on Tuesday, April 28, 2015, at Cannon Memorial Hospital in Pickens.

Mrs. Bigby was born on Oct. 5, 1940, in Oconee County to the late Dewey and Ina Cannon Masters. She graduated from Tamassee DAR School and attended Tri-County Technical College. She retired from the Pickens County DSN Board and enjoyed

Mary L. Waters

Easley — Mary Lois Littleton Waters, 88, of Garden Road, wife of the late Mickey Waters, went home Tuesday, April 21, 2015.

Born in Pickens County, she was the daughter of the late William Issac Littleton and Cora Mae Gilstrap Littleton.

Mrs. Waters was retired from the retail and textile business and was a member of Jones Avenue Baptist Church.

Surviving are her daughters, Linda Alexander (Charles) of Easley and Wanda McDuffie (Goffery) of Woodstock, Ga.; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two brothers, James Robert (Bob) Littleton of Easley and J.D.

Floycie Carroll Holliday

Liberty — Mrs. Floycie Carroll Holliday, 97, wife of the late Woodrow W. Holliday, passed away Thursday, April 16, 2015 at Cannon Memorial Hospital.

Born in Jackson County, NC, a daughter of the late Rufus Newton and Emma Bryson Carroll, Mrs. Holliday retired from Easley Textiles and was a member of Smith Grove Baptist Church.

Easley — Sarah Lynne Freeman Hammond, 45, of Edgemont Street, passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2015, at St. Francis Hospital.

Born in Greenville County, a daughter of Evelyn Gillespie Freeman and the late James Malcolm Freeman, Lynne was a radiologic technician and of the Baptist faith.

Robbie F. Mauldin

Clemson — Robbie Faith Mauldin died Sunday, March 29, 2015 at her home in Clemson.

 Born in Central, she was a daughter of the late Joseph F. and Eva Powers Mauldin.  In her 50 year career with Norfolk Southern Railway she served as Depot Agent in Georgia, North Carolina and many locations in South Carolina. She was a long time member of Clemson United Methodist Church.
