Clairissa B. Nalley
Easley — Clairissa “Splent” Bishop Nalley, 93, of Pelzer Highway, wife of the late Samuel E. Nalley, died Monday, Sept. 8, 2014 at Rainey Hospice House.
Born Feb. 22, 1921 in Pickens County, she was a daughter of the late Dock and Emma Brown Bishop, Mrs. Nalley was a homemaker and a member of Flat Rock Baptist Church.
Surviving are a son, Samuel G. (Sammy) Nalley and wife, Sarah Elaine, of Easley; a daughter, Joyce N. Sudduth and

Pickens — Tessie Jane Clark Masters, 102, died Sept. 1, 2014.
Born in Pickens County, she was the daughter of the late William Elford Clark and Lelia Day Clark. She was the widow of Neal M. Masters and mother-in-law of the late Bascum G. Lesley. She was the oldest living member of East Pickens Baptist Church. She was retired from Mayfair Mills in Pickens after working 48 years.
Mrs. Masters was the cherished mother of Trula Masters Lesley and treasured Grandmother of Randy Steven Lesley

Barbara Campbell
Easley — Barbara Jean Cothran Campbell, 85, wife of the late James Calvin Campbell, died Aug. 28, 2014 at NHC-Greenville, in Greer.
Born in Oconee County, to the late Duffy and Alma Powell Cothran, Barbara graduated from Parker High School and retired from Bell South, where she began working as an operator and later as a customer service representative. She was a member of Brushy Creek Baptist Church where she was very active in the choir and taught Sunday school

Six Mile — Cecil William Durham, age 72, husband of Annie Sue Ellenburg Durham died Sunday Aug. 24, 2014 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Durham was born in Pickens County a son of the late Sam Wesley Durham and Elva Crowe Durham. Mr. Durham was a member of Mile Creek Baptist Church. He had a Lifetime passion for 51 years in the Lumber and Logging Business, Owner & Operator of Durham’s Hardwood Lumber & Logging Inc.

Easley — Arthur K. “Papa” Garner, 80, of 101 Wallace Drive, died Monday, Aug. 11, 2014 at Baptist Easley Hospital.
Born in Anderson, a son of the late Andrew and Myrtle Lou Anthony Garner, Arthur was a graduate of Boys High School in Anderson and retired from the maintenance department of Robinson Funeral Home. He was a member of Dacusville Church of God of Prophecy.

Pickens — Lendon Richard Simmons, age 81, husband of Patricia Ann Childs died Monday Aug. 4, 2014 at Cannon Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Simmons was born in Griffin Community Pickens, a son of the late Jesse Marion Simmons and Artie Lee Hayes Simmons. Mr. Simmons was a member of TurnPoint Community Worship Center of Easley.

Gilmore Wallace, Jr.
Easley — Gilmore Wallace, Jr., 69, husband of Carmen Douglas Wallace, died Friday, July 25, 2014 at Cannon Memorial Hospital in Pickens.
Born in Darlington, to the late Gilmore Sr., and Juanita Green Wallace, “Gil” was a 1963 graduate of Rosenwald High School and went on to work for American Brass in Ansonia, Conn. He enjoyed fishing and listening to “oldies” music, but most of all, he loved spending time with his family.

Amy Miller
Blountville, Tenn — Amy Louise Forrest Miller, 49, died Monday, July 21, 2014 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Born in Easley, to C. Otis Forrest, Jr. and the late Pauline Ann McCall, Mrs. Miller was an Easley Christian School graduate and went on to be a manager in retail. She studied piano and was a talented flautist and had an eye for interior decorating.
Amy loved collecting angels, catching and collecting butterflies, spending time helping children and being a loving mother.
In addition to her father, she is survived by two sons, Levi and Jordan Staton, both of North Carolina; a step-brother, Chris Chapell of Pa.; three sisters, Anne Forrest of South Carolina, Alison Harshman of Florida and Andrea

Liberty — Floyd Lee Ramey, 61, of 122 Patterson Road died peacefully, Tuesday July 15, 2014 at his residence after a 4 year courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Pickens, he was the husband of Carolyn Kay Reece Ramey of the home and a son of the late Roy and Lula Bell Barton Ramey. He was retired from Climate Control and loved watching all types of racing. He also loved attending church at Liberty Church of God of Prophecy.

Liberty — Lolita Kay Ruth Watson Alexander, 61, wife of Virgil Clifton Alexander, died Wednesday, July 9 at St. Francis Hospital.
Born in Valdosta, Ga., to the late Angus Terrell Watson, Sr., and Kathryn Lolita Byrd Smith, Kay was a graduate of Tri-County Technical College where she also worked in the Admissions Department.
She enjoyed swimming, making jewelry, Pandora bracelets, as well as other crafts, attending yard sales and spending time with her grandchildren who meant so much to her.
