• Jones Hill set to host silent auction
Jones Hill Church of God will host a silent auction on Saturday, March 4.
The event will feature hot dogs, bake sale and ticket sales until 11 a.m. Auction begins at 1 p.m. Jones Hill Church of God is located at 1014 Dalton Road in Marietta. For more information, call (864) 836-3020.
• Clemson Arts Fest to be held on May 20
The Clemson Festival of Arts is a one-day active art experience for adults and children scheduled for May 20, the third Saturday in May.
Visitors will be able to experience an art-filled day with hands-on art activities for adults and children, artists’ demonstrations, a community art project, and fine, handcrafted art for sale from exhibiting artists.
The festival will kick off with a “character parade” for all ages at 9:30 a.m. Following the parade, festival-goers can shop along Artist Row, enjoy food from local restaurants and explore their creative side by making an art project to take home.
The ARTS Center of Clemson will put on the festival at Catherine Smith Plaza in downtown Clemson from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information about the Clemson Festival of Arts, visit explorearts.org.
• County-wide revival set for March
The Pickens County-Wide/Vicinity Revival is an ecumenical series of services and events. This year’s theme “Rebuilding Kingdom Families to Bring about Kingdom Hope, Nehemiah.”

• Granger Fiber arts offers activities for all
The Comforter Project was very successful. For the Granger Fiber Arts Center located at the Pickens Senior Center in Pickens. Nine comforters will be distributed between Meals on Wheels and the Dream Center for needy individuals in Pickens County.
Set your calenders to join us during the Tuesdays of September from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. for our next “Comforter Blitz” for needy residents in Pickens County.
New Activities
Advanced Crochet:
This activity will meet each Thursday in February from 10 – 11:30 a.m. beginning on February 9 in Room 4. You will need to bring size 10 crochet sheen and a number 2 crochet hook. Denise will provide patterns from which you may choose the items you wish to make.
Spinning Wheel Use:
Activity will begin Wednesday, March 1, 12:30 – 2:30 p.m. in Room 6. It will continue each Wednesday for the month of March.
