• Veterans invited to American Legion

Veterans in the Liberty area are invited to the next meeting of American Legion Post 67 in Liberty. The Legion meets on the third Monday of the month at 7 p.m. at the Scout Hut, circle off North Palmetto Street. All veterans are invited.

• Car show set to benefit K-9 unit

A car show fundraiser will be held for the Pickens Police Department’s K-9 unit at 5 p.m. Saturday, June 10, at Market at the Mill. All cars and trucks are welcome. There will be a $10 entry fee. It will be fun for the entire family, with T-shirts available to order. To find out more about the event, contact Kelsy Olivares at (864) 633-8034. Proceeds will go to help cover the expenses of the K-9 unit and officer.
