PICKENS — Mark your calendars for the upcoming Pickens County 5K Paint Run/Walk to benefit Pickens County Meals on Wheels.

The event is set to begin on August 17 at Pickens High School. Each pre-registered participant will receive a custom designed commemorative t-shirt with medals for top male and female finishers in age groups 12 and under, 13-18 and 19 and above. The cost to participate is $20 pre-registration and $25 on day of the race.

Pickens County Meals on Wheels will get 100 percent of the proceeds from the event.

Participants may turn in registration forms at Pickens High School on August 6, 7, 8 and 12 from noon until 6 p.m. or on August 17 from 6:30 a.m. until 7:30 a.m.
