COUNTY — The S.C. Coaches Association for Women’s Sports (SCCAWS) announced its 2024 All-State volleyball teams earlier this month and Pickens County was well represented with four athletes being selected for the team.

Daniel High School’s Zara Russell and Sarah Ulrich, Liberty’s Payton Miller and Pickens’ Kaylon Chapman were all selected for their respective classifications.

Russell and Ulrich were essential to the Lions this season as they won their third consecutive region
