• Pickens Church of God hosting annual Fall Festival
Pickens Church of God will be hosting its annual Fall Festival, Saturday Oct. 27 from 4-8 p.m. There will be games, prizes, bouncy house, food, drinks, candy and fun. Everyone is welcome. The church is located at 127 McDaniel Ave., Pickens.
• Faith Lutheran to host yard sale Oct. 19
Faith Lutheran Church will have its fourth annual yard sale October 19 and 20 from 7 a.m. until 2 p.m. Faith is located at 729 W. Main Street across from Blue Ridge Electric Co-op. The yard sale will be held in the building for your comfort. There will be many household items, clothing, books, furniture and homemade bakery items will be sold to help support the Gleaning House, a community food pantry. Faith, a small congregation, has been able to provide $1500 to the Gleaning House which just about covers the expenses for providing food for one day for the 350 community residents in need. Using supplemental funds from Thrivent Financial, Faith has been able to share $1.50 with the Gleaning House for each single $1 spent.
• Rock Springs to host Drama ‘Death’s Door’

• Pickens County W.P.O. offers a chance meet friends
Pickens County Widowed Persons Organization provides an opportunity for widowed persons to come together, make new friends.Everyone is encouraged to participate in any and all events. Please contact Pat LeRoy at (864) 506-1273 for more information or to be added to the organization’s mailing list.
• Soapstone to host meal fundraiser
Soapstone Church is inviting everyone to a special fundraiser at the church, located at 296 Liberia Road in Pickens, this Saturday, October 20. The event will feature fine cooking and will be held from 12 p.m. – 8 p.m.
Visitors will enjoy true southern cooking including a fish fry, barbecue and fried chicken with all the fixings right from Mrs. Mabel’s kitchen.

• CAST hosts monthly meeting on Oct. 23
Clemson Area StoryTellers (CAST) Guild will hold its monthly meeting, at 7 p.m. on October 23 at The Arts Center, 212 Butler Street, Clemson. Have stories to share? Well come and tell them where you have a captive audience.You are invited to an evening of friendly family stories, poetry or music. Attend as a listener or a teller, all are welcome.
