• Veterans invited to American Legion

Veterans in the Liberty area are invited to the next meeting of American Legion Post 67 in Liberty. The Legion meets on the third Monday of the month at 7 p.m. at the Scout Hut, circle off North Palmetto Street. All veterans are invited.

• Senior info sharing set at Hagood Center

The Hagood Community Center at 129 Schoolhouse Street in Pickens will host the second installment of the monthly senior information sharing session on Thursday, Oct. 13, beginning at 11 a.m. A special meal will be served at no charge.
The info session and meal are sponsored by HFC Services for the purpose of sharing a variety of information with seniors to enhance their quality of life and knowledge of resources available to them.
There will be no sales pitch, only worthwhile information.
The seating is limited to the first 70 people and those planning to attend please register at this site: https://calendly.com/hfcservices/senior-gathering-pickens, Registering will give the caterers a head count for the food preparation.
Doors will open at 10:30 a.m. and a tour of the community center will be available following the information sharing session.

• LHS class of 1961 plans for reunion

The Liberty High School, class of 1961 reunion will be held on at 6 p.m. Nov. 5 at Black’s Fish Camp in Easley.
There must be 20 committed people to reserve a room.

The cost is $25 per person, $50 per couple.
The cost includes meal, drinks, dessert, room and tips.
