• Six Mile Christmas parade is Dec. 7
The 49th annual Six Mile Christmas parade will be held on Saturday, Dec. 7, at 10:30 a.m. There is no fee for entry, but all entries must submit an entry form. Call or visit Six Mile Town Hall to complete an entry form. All entries must have a holiday theme. No go-carts or four-wheelers will be allowed to enter the parade. Horses will not be allowed on Main Street prior the parade unless approved to do so. All entries have to be walking in order to hand out candy. Rain date is set for Sunday, Dec. 8. • Clusters for Kids Oyster Roast Nov. 23
Presented by Acker Lambert Hinton PA and SeaLevel Systems, the sixth annual Clusters for Kids Oyster Roast will be on Saturday, Nov. 23.
Community sponsors, supporters and the Friends of Pickens County Guardian ad Litem Program will gather for the roast beginning at 5 p.m. at Arran Farm, located at 820 Lenhardt Road in Easley. The evening will feature an oyster roast and Southern lowcountry buffet, including chicken bog and more, beverages and music. The evening will be highlighted by great music entertainment provided by the band Hot Notes, plus a large silent auction. Ticket prices are $50 individually and $90 per couple. Tickets may be purchased until Nov. 23 online at friendspcgal.org/oysterroast, from board members or locally from Coyote Coffee locations in Pickens and Easley, Nalley’s Furniture in Liberty or the Guardian ad Litem office in Pickens.

• CMH Auxiliary sets WinterFest activities
The Cannon Memorial Hospital Auxiliary will be hosting its annual WinterFest this Thursday, Nov. 14, from 7 a.m.-4 p.m. in the classroom at AnMed Health Cannon. WinterFest will feature handmade items from several local vendors. The auxiliary will also be holding its 12th annual Festival of Wreaths from Nov. 18-Dec. 6. Wreaths will be on display in the front lobby at AnMed Health Cannon for silent auction. Bidding will end at 1 p.m. Dec. 6, and the highest bidder will be contacted. All proceeds from the events go to the Cannon Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.
• LMS holiday bazaar planned for Nov. 23
Liberty Middle School will host a holiday bazaar from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on Nov. 23. The event will offer attendees a chance to shop wonderful crafts and vendor booths, grab a bite to eat and sip, shop and fellowship while picking up some great buys for the holidays.
• WPO offers chance at monthly fellowship
The Widowed Persons Organization (WPO) organization is not a grief therapy group, but it does provide an opportunity for widowed persons to come together, make new friends and share conversation and food while finding a new beginning in life. The group meets on the second Saturday of every month at 1 p.m. in the fellowship building of Lakeview Baptist Church on Mauldin Lake Road in Pickens. • Pack 51 scouting for new Cub Scouts
Do you want to be a Cub Scout? Cub Scout Pack 51 meets every Tuesday night at 7 p.m. at Grace United Methodist Church in Pickens. Cub Scouts is open to all youth in 5K to fifth grade. Boys over 11 years old are eligible for Boy Scouts, which meets on Monday nights at the Troop 51 Scout Hut in Pickens. Those interested are urged to contact Perry Gravely at pickenstroop51@gmail.com.
• Dacusville UMC plans craft bazaar
The Dacusville United Methodist Church will be holding an arts and crafts bazaar on Saturday, Nov. 16, from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Dacusville United Methodist is located at 1339 Thomas Mill Road in Easley. The event will offer hot dogs and baked goods along with craft items and will be held rain or shine.
• Moving Forward Group to meet
The Moving Forward Group for widowed persons meets the second Tuesday of each month at Silver Bay Restaurant on Highway 123 in Easley. Held at 6 p.m., the meeting offers a night of fellowship, encouragement and making new friends. For more information, call Marian Huskins at (864) 295-1714.
• Sertoma Club invites locals to meet
The Clemson Sertoma Club invites all interested local residents to attend its meetings. The club meets at noon the first and third Tuesdays of each month at Occasions at Wedgefield, located at 1551 Eighteen Mile Road in Central. New visitors are always welcome.
