• Trotter clan set to hold reunion Sept. 20

 A reunion is a planned for the Trotter family and all descendants of George MacDuffie and Sarah O’Neal Trotter. The reunion will be held Saturday, Sept. 20 at 4 p.m. at the Gatehouse Restaurant in Pickens.

• Gillespie reunion planned for Oct. 5

The 66th Gillespie reunion will be Sunday, Oct. 5, at 11:45 a.m. at the Balsam Grove Community Center in Balsam Grove, N.C.

Each family is asked to bring a well-filled basket and drink of your choice. Plates, cups napkins and silverware will be provided, also ice will be provided.

• Day family reunion to be held Sept. 21

 The Day family, including descendants of Bradwell Day and Elizabeth Cansler Day, will hold a family reunion on Sunday, Sept. 21, at 1 p.m.

The reunion will be held at J.B. Day’s Riverbend Old Stock Car Racing Museum located at 154 Floyd Circle in Easley.

• PHS Craft Fair needs vendors

 A craft fair will be held at Pickens High School on Nov. 1 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Cost for a 10×10 vendor booth will be $10. Email tammyferguson@pickens.k12.sc.us for an application. Money and applications are due by Oct. 20.

• Chastain family to reunite Sept. 21

Family and friends of Oscar and Bertha Chastain will meet for their annual reunion at Holly Springs Baptist Church Fellowship Hall on Sunday, Sept. 21. A covered-dish dinner will begin at 1 p.m

• Elljean Baptist to host homecoming

 Elljean Baptist Church invites everyone to come to the annual homecoming on Sept. 28. The event will feature a special message by the Rev. Brandon Wimpey. Elljean Baptist Church is located at 605 Elljean Road in Easley.

• Soapstone to host fundraiser Sept. 20

 Soapstone Church is inviting everyone to a special fundraiser at the church, located at 296 Liberia Road in Pickens, this Saturday, Sept. 20. The event will feature fine cooking and will be held from noon-8 p.m. Visitors will enjoy true southern cooking including a fish fry, barbecue and fried chicken with all the fixings right from Mrs. Mabel’s kitchen. • Mt. Bethel UMC to host annual revival

 Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church will hold a revival Sept. 29 through Oct. 1. Preaching will be the Rev. Danny Wiley each night at 7 p.m. The church is located at 126 Mt. Bethel Church Rd., Sunset. Everyone is invited.
