This matter is before me upon motion by Scott Allmon of Absolute Law Firm, LLC, Attorney for the Plaintiff in this matter, to appoint a Guardian ad Litem to protect the interest of the Defendants above designated as Defendants unknown claiming any right, title, estate, interest in or lien upon the real estate described in the Complaint, being as a class designated as John Doe, and any such unknown infants or persons under disability being as a class designated as Richard Roe.
Now therefore based on a review of the pleadings and the motion herein made, it appears that it is necessary and proper that a Guardian ad Litem be appointed to represent the interests of any unknown Defendants in this action.
NOW THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED that Lauren Koch, an attorney in good standing in Pickens County, her primary office being located in Oconee County, is hereby appointed as Guardian ad Litem to represent the interest of any unknown Defendants.

That an adoption proceeding was filed in the Family Court of Anderson County on August 16, 2022, and in this Complaint you are alleged to be the father of: Brayton Alexander Lee Gilleland, a male child of the Caucasian and Hispanic race born in Pickens County, South Carolina, on January 17, 2013; and Kennedy Ellen Chae Gilliland, a female child of the Caucasian and Hispanic race born in Pickens County, South Carolina, on December 24, 2013.

2. In responding to this notice, you are required to use the caption and the number 2022-DR-04-1438.

3. That if Notice to Contest, Intervene or otherwise Respond is filed by you with the Court within thirty (30) days of the receipt of this Notice of Adoption Proceedings, you will be given an opportunity to appear and be heard on the merits of the adoption. To file notice to Contest, Intervene or otherwise Respond in this action, you must notify the above-named Court at the Anderson County Courthouse, 100 South Main Street, Anderson, South Carolina 29624, in writing of your intention to Contest, Intervene or otherwise Respond. The above-named Court must be informed of your current address and any changes of your address during the adoption proceedings.

4. That your failure to respond within thirty (30) days of receipt of this Notice of Adoption Proceedings constitutes your consent to the adoption and forfeiture of all of your rights and obligations to the above-named child. It is further alleged that your consent to this adoption is not required under S.C. Code Ann. Section 63-9-310 and that your parental rights should be terminated pursuant to S.C. Code An. Section 63-7-2570(7).

This notice is given pursuant to S.C. Code Ann. Section 63-9-730(E).
