Cowin Equipment Company, Inc., PLAINTIFF, vs. Jorge Solis d/b/a Acosta Underground, DEFENDANT.

COMES NOW Cowin Equipment Company, Inc. (“Judgment Creditor”), by and through its undersigned attorney and pursuant to S.C. Code Ann. § 15-35-900 et seq., and notifies the above-named Defendant, Jorge Solis d/b/a Acosta Underground (“Judgment Debtor”), of the following:

On February 19, 2019, a judgment was obtained by the Judgment Creditor against the Judgment Debtor in the action captioned Cowin Equipment Company, Inc. v. Jorge Solis d/b/a Acosta Underground in the Circuit Court for Jefferson County, Alabama, Civil Action No. 01-CV-2018-900706.00, in the total sum of $19,680.76, which consists of $16,400.63 in principal and a twenty percent (20%) attorneys’ fee of $3,280.13, plus costs and post-judgment interest in the amount of 7.5% per annum (the “Judgment”). Pursuant to S.C. Code Ann. § 15-35-930, an authenticated, filed, stamped copy of the Judgment is attached hereto as Exhibit “A” and incorporated herein by reference. Also attached hereto as Exhibit “B” and incorporated herein by referenced is a filed, stamped copy of the Affidavit of John R. Frawley, Jr.

As evidenced by Exhibit “A”, the Judgment Creditor has caused an authenticated copy of the Judgment to be filed with the office of the Clerk of Court for Pickens County, South Carolina.

The Judgment Debtor has thirty (30) days from the date of receipt of this Notice to seek relief from the enforcement of the Judgment. If the Judgment is not satisfied and no relief is sought by the Judgment Debtor within said thirty (30) days, then the Judgment will enforced in the State of South Carolina in the same manner as a judgment of this State.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS

The Pickens County Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing on Monday, March 23, 2020 at 6:30 p.m. at the Pickens County Administration Facility, 222 McDaniel Avenue, Pickens, SC, in the Main Conference Room.

Prior to the public hearing, the Board of Appeals will meet in a worksession at 6:00 p.m. in the same location.

The following case will be heard:

1. BOA-20-0002 Request for a special exception variance from the county lakeshore minimum setback standards. Property is located at 469 Peninsula Ridge, Sunset, Lot P-67, of the Reserve at Lake Keowee. The applicants and property owners of record are James R. and Debra Kovanda.
