Dick Raue
Easley — Richard “Dick” Dale Raue, 71, passed away Saturday, Sept. 24, 2016, at his home.
Born on April 7, 1945, in Urbana, Iowa, he was a son of the late Art and Betty Owens Raue.
Dick was the owner of Raue Construction Company in Iowa, building quality custom homes and remodeling.
Dick loved hunting, fishing and was an excellent pool player. He enjoyed spending quality time with his children and grandchildren and was an inspiration to all of them. He was well loved by his friends and family.
Surviving are his wife of 30 years, Jo Patterson Raue; his children, Brian Raue of Miami, Fla., Lyn Clancy of Austin, Texas, and Tracy Harbin of Easley; seven grandchildren, William Raue of Miami, Garrett and Marshall Dean of Austin, Joshua and Jesse Harbin of Easley, Jennifer Cromer and Lindsay Jones of Georgia; four great-grandchildren; brothers, Mike Raue of Shellsburg, Iowa, and Gary Raue (Becky) of Urbana, Iowa; and a sister, Mary Young of Center Point, Iowa.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a daughter, Genia Jones, and a brother, Larry Raue.
A memorial service was held Oct. 1 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.

Anthony Whitaker
PICKENS — Tony “Whit” Whitaker was welcomed into God’s arms on Tuesday evening Sept. 27, 2016. Tony was blessed to have his family by his side, in his home, when he was called.
Born in Frankfurt, Germany, Aug. 5, 1960, he was the son of the late James Edward Whitaker Sr. and Mary Valeriay Whitaker of Easley.
In addition to his loving and caring wife of 19 years, Carol Dietrich Whitaker, Tony is survived by his sons, Marine Corps Staff Sgt. Michael Gary Norback of Pickens (currently stationed in Pakistan) and Daniel Whitaker of Pickens; daughters Amy Norback Richards (Brad) of Milford, Conn., and Sarah Lynn Whitaker of Pickens. Tony is also survived by his brothers and sisters: Mr. and Mrs. Diane Sellers (Leonard) of Pendleton, Mr. Roger Whitaker and his predeceased wife Debra of Piedmont, Mr. and Mrs. Donnie Whitaker (Bernice) of Six Mile, Mr. and Mrs. Darlene Stancil (Wayne) of Six Mile, Mr. and Mrs. James Whitaker Jr. (Lynda) of Pickens, Mr. and Mrs. Brenda Kickery (John) of Easley, and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Whitaker (Allison), of Pickens. Tony has numerous loving nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends that will miss him greatly.
Tony was an avid outdoorsman and marksman. When Tony wasn’t at home, he could be found in a boat or on the shore, fresh and saltwater fishing. Tony’s talents were many, but he excelled as a skilled carpenter, auto mechanic, plumber, electrician and locksmith. Tony also enjoyed solving complex wood and metal puzzles.
Tony has been employed as the University Carpentry Supervisor at Furman University in Greenville for the last 16 years.
To quote one of Tony’s many friends: “He was the easiest guy you would ever have had the pleasure to meet, and I am honored to have been his friend.”
Funeral services were held Oct. 1 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Pickens, with graveside services following at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Pickens.

Terry G. Leslie
Easley — Terry Gene Leslie, 55, of Prince Perry Road, passed away Monday, Sept. 26, 2016, at his home.
Born in Greenville County, he was the son of Mary Ann Stegall Leslie of Easley and the late Guy Leslie.
Terry was a graduate of Easley High School. He was formerly employed with Stegall’s Transmissions for over 15 years and was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are his mother, Mary Ann Stegall Leslie of Easley; and a brother, Jerry Leslie (Paula) of Easley.
In addition to his father, he was predeceased by a brother, Perry Leslie.
Services were held Sept. 30 in the Robinson Funeral Home chapel.

Joyce Edens
PICKENS — Joyce Martha Garrett Edens, 89, of Pickens, wife of the late Lowell D. Edens, went home to be with her Lord, whom she loved dearly, on Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2016, at AnMed Hospital.
Born on June 6, 1927, in Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Lillian Turner Garrett. Mrs. Edens was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church.
Surviving are her six children, James D. Edens, Martha Miller, Dorothy Allison, Lowell D. Edens Jr., Kathlene Rainey and Betty Lou Arms; two sisters, Bobby Cowart and Ruth Reeves; and many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Edens was also predeceased by two sons, Johnny Lee Edens and an infant son.
Funeral services were held Sept. 30 at Holly Springs Baptist Church, with burial following in Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.

Peter Joseph Miceli
Pickens — Peter Joseph Miceli, of Pickens, passed peacefully Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2016.
Mr. Miceli was born in Queens, N.Y., to the late Bartholomew and Angelina Guccione Miceli. Throughout his life he enjoyed fishing, boating, hunting and flying.
He is survived by his daughter, Nicole Miceli of Patchogue, N.Y., and four grandchildren; sister, Joanne Slater of Palm City, Fla.; niece, Christine Camper, (James) and their daughter, Marissa Camper; nephew, Joseph A. Yeni Jr and his son, Joseph John Yeni; the love of his life for 10 years, Linda Hofmann, and one son and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Oct. 3 at Robinson Funeral Home in Easley with Rev. Stewart Houston officiating.

Ellender Adcox Holliday
Easley — Mrs. Ellender Adcox “Bud” Holliday, 82, of Easley, loving wife of the late Roy Hulet Holliday, passed away Friday, Sept. 30, 2016, at her residence.
Mrs. Holliday was born in Pickens County on May 2, 1934, to the late Lewis and Vadie Esuary Adcox. She worked as a beautician before retiring from Anchor Swan as a machine operator and she loved her home and her family, especially her grandchildren. Mrs. Holliday was a member of Geer Memorial Baptist Church in Easley.
Mrs. Holliday is survived by a son, Randy Holliday of the home; a sister, Barbara Adcox Ledford of North Carolina.; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Mike Holliday; a daughter, Kimberly Tant; and a brother, Charles Adcox.
Funeral services were held Oct. 3 at Geer Memorial Baptist Church in Easley, with interment following at Westview Cemetery in Easley.

Earnest Leroy Mann
Pickens — Earnest “Ernie” Leroy Mann, 51, of Pickens, passed away on Friday, Sept. 30, 2016, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Born in Pickens County on Sept. 14, 1965, he was the son of the late Rev. Harvey Eugene Mann Sr. and Mary Joan Roach Mann.
Surviving are his wife of 28 years, Tracy Haynes Mann; two daughters, Amber Nichole Mann and Jessica ReLee Mann; two sisters, Marie Swanson (Donald) and Darlene Owens (Walter); five brothers, Harvey, Hoyt (Lisa), Stanley (Darla), Mark and Ken (Robyn) Mann, and many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Oct. 3 at 3 p.m. at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following at Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Sam M. Cox
Easley — Sam Milton “Milt” Cox, 86, formerly of Lloyd Avenue, passed away Sunday, Oct. 2, 2016, at Richard Campbell Veterans Home in Belton.
Born in Pickens County, he was the son of the late Sam and Oza Lee Hendricks Cox.
Mr. Cox was retired from Michelin Tire Corporation. He was a 32nd Degree Mason with the Bates Masonic Lodge No. 189 A.F.M. and was a U.S. Army veteran.
Surviving are his children, Sam Milton Cox III (Shirley), Danny Lee Cox and Becky Cox Hill, all of Easley; a stepdaughter, Barbara Cobb of Seneca, and a sister, Jessie Lee McNeil of Charleston.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Margaret E. Cox; his second wife, Mattie Lou Lockaby Cox; his third wife, Jessie Duncan Cox; a daughter-in-law, Phyllis Cox; a stepson-in-law, Barry Cobb; a brother, F.T. Hill; and a sister, Lutty Flo McGaha.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2016, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, with burial to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park in Pickens.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30-1:45 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Salvation Army, 417 Rutherford Street, Greenville, SC 29609 or the charity of one’s choice.
