Terry Kennie Gilstrap
Liberty — Terry Kennie Gilstrap, 60, of 146 Leroy Drive, died Friday, July 21, 2017, at the Rainey Hospice House in Anderson.
Born in Greenville, he was the husband of Elaine Nimmons Gilstrap of the home and the son of Joseph Kennie and Gladys Duncan “Cricket” Gilstrap, both of Liberty. Mr. Gilstrap enjoyed coin collecting and was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving, in addition to his wife and parents, are two stepdaughters, Crystal Breazeale of Liberty and Melisa Courtney of Alabama; a stepson, Shawn Owens of Anderson; two sisters, Sherry Freeman (Barry) of Easley and Tracy Hinson (Dean) of Liberty; and two granddaughters, Renee Gilstrap of Liberty and Shana Gilstrap of Easley.
He was predeceased by a son, Terry Shane Gilstrap, and a stepson, Jonathan Owens.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Raymond M. Flasch
Liberty — Raymond Matthew Flasch, 93, widower of Mary Snow Flasch, died Monday, July 17, 2017, at St. Francis Hospital in Greenville.
Born in Dormont, Pa., he was a son of the late John and Nellie Edith McCollum Flasch. He was a graduate of and earned a Master’s Degree in Theology and Music from Cleveland Bible College. He retired after 28 years of service with Sherwin Williams of Cleveland. Raymond was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII and served in both the European and Pacific Theatres. He was a member of Golden Grove Wesleyan Church.
Surviving are two sons, Rod (Vicki) Flasch of Simpsonville and Jeff (Brenda) Flasch of Belton.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Charles Flasch; and sisters, Rena Mae Catron and Edith Boyd.
Funeral services were held Friday, July 21, at Golden Grove Wesleyan Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Colie Lewis
Cateechee — Colie W. Lewis, 79, of 224 Nuthatch Road, died Thursday, July 13, 2017, at Fleetwood Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Pickens, he was a son of the late Bruce Clayton and Irene Estelle Pilgrim Lewis. He was a member of Cateechee Baptist Church.
Surviving are a sister, Lucille L. Shipman of Central, and a nephew, Kendall Shipman of Central.
Funeral services to honor the life of Mr. Lewis were held Friday, July 21, in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. Burial followed at Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Frank Robinson
Easley — Franklin Delane “Frank” Robinson, 71, of 133 Pine Tree Lane, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 19, 2017, at his home.
Born in Asheville, N.C., he was a son of the late Walter Willie and Mae Cody Robinson.
He retired from the hotel industry and really was a true entrepreneur. He enjoyed golf, working outside, and was a member of New Bridge Baptist Church, and the Bates Masonic Lodge No. 189 AFM.
Surviving are his wife, Eydie Pilgrim Robinson of the home; two daughters, Heather Black (Philip) and Misty Gomez-Cortes (Alfredo), all of Easley; a son, Travis Robinson of Easley; four granddaughters, Gabbi and Lexi Gillespie, and Ella and Lily Grace Black; and his mother-in-law, Christine Pilgrim of Central.
Funeral services to honor the life of Mr. Robinson were held Saturday, July 22, in the Liberty Mortuary chapel. Burial followed at Liberty Memorial Gardens.
The family will be at the home. Liberty Mortuary is handling arrangements.
Pauline Moore Gillespie
Easley — Mrs. Pauline “Polly” Moore Gillespie, 81, wife of Willard James Gillespie, went to be with her Lord and Savior Friday, July 21, 2017, at her home.
Born in Pickens County, a daughter of the late Marvin and Eula Finley Moore, Mrs. Gillespie retired from the health care industry and was a member of Bible Baptist Church.
Surviving, in addition to her husband of 33 years, are a daughter, Karen D. Whitmire (James) of Easley; a son, Kerry Dale Gilstrap of Easley; a brother, Bud Moore of Easley; a sister, Carolyn Roper of Easley; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gillespie was predeceased by a brother, Roger Moore; and a sister, Beulah Galloway.
Funeral services were held Sunday, July 23, in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road. Burial followed at Hillcrest Memorial Park.

JD Littleton Sr.
Liberty — JD Littleton Sr., 94, of 304 Summit Drive, widower of Elizabeth Herd Littleton, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 19, 2017, at his home.
Born in Norris, he was a son of the late William Isaac and Mae Gilstrap Littleton.
Mr. Littleton worked at Cateechee Mill and later Woodside Mill. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed doing charity work and helping people in his community. He was a member of Hilltop Wesleyan Church (formerly Smith Chapel Wesleyan Church).
Surviving are a daughter, Brenda Robinson (Jack) of Easley; two sons, JD Littleton Jr. (Gloria) of Taylors and Paul Littleton of the home; three grandchildren, Lisa Drummond, Jay Littleton and Shane Lovell; and four great-grandchildren, Bailey and Riley Littleton, and Skyler and Javen Lovell. He was the last survivor of his immediate family.

Cecil Jones
Easley — Robert Cecil Jones, 80, husband of the late Pearlene Jones, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 22, 2017, at his home.
Born in Pickens County, he was the son of the late Prue and Lois Jones.
Surviving are a son, Richard Jones of Easley; a daughter, Lisa Hendricks of Easley; sisters, Eva Gene Watson of Easley, Rosey Patterson of Pickens and Mozelle Lusk of Pickens; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Jones was predeceased by brothers Joel Jones and B.F. Jones; and a sister, Doris Todd.
Mr. Jones was an Army veteran and a fisherman who loved his family beyond measure.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 26, at the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.
The family will receive friends from 12-1:45 p.m. on Wednesday, July 26, at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Frances L. Smith
Easley — Mrs. Frances Kathleen Lockaby Smith, 88, wife of the late E.B. Smith, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, July 22, 2017.
Born in Greenville County, a daughter of the late Berry Frank and Lily Geneva Finley Lockaby, Mrs. Smith was a graduate of Paris High School in Greenville, where she was a member of the girls’ basketball team, and attended North Greenville College. She retired from Belk-Simpson in Easley and was a member of Corinth Baptist Church, having served many roles, such as Sunday school teacher and president of the Friendly Neighbors Senior Group.
Surviving are one son, the Rev. Randall Smith (Donna) of Pelzer; two daughters, Judy Johnson (Eddie) of Easley and Jeanne Chellis (Ted) of Arden, N.C.; a brother, Melvin Lockaby of Lilburn, Ga.; three sisters, Lucille Hightower, Kate Moody and Joan Smith, all of Greenville; a daughter-in-law, Marianne Smith; 11 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Smith was predeceased by a son, Roger Smith; four brothers, Berry, Robert, Otis and Fred Lockaby; and a sister, Edna Smith.
Funeral services were held July 25 at Corinth Baptist Church, with the Rev. Randall Smith and the Rev. Dr. Robert Dickard officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Jack Furman Davis
Pickens — Mr. Jack Furman Davis, 78, husband of Louise McKinney Davis, went to be with his Lord and Savior Saturday July 22, 2017.
He was born in Pickens County and grew up in Eastatoe Valley, son of the late Jim and Mallie Chapman Davis. Mr. Davis was owner and operator of Davis Grading and Mulch for 43 years. He was a lifetime member of Keowee Masonic Lodge No. 79 and also a Hejaz Shriner. Mr. Davis was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors, in addition to his wife of 60 years, are two sons, Jimmy Davis (Marlene) and Mitchell Davis (Roxie); and one daughter, Janice Davis (Randy), all of Pickens; three granddaughters, Mendia Davis of Pickens, Kourtney Daugherty (Glenn) of Virginia and Nikki Aiken of Easley; one grandson, Cody Davis of Pickens; four great-grandchildren, Bryson, Bayliegh, Ryland and Cristian; and one brother, Ralph Davis.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 26, from 10-11:45 a.m. at Mountain View Funeral Home, with chapel service to follow at noon. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Gardens.

Rebecca Ann Waldrop Garrett
Six Mile — Rebecca Ann Waldrop Garrett, age 79, wife of the late William Tillman “Tater” Garrett, went to be with the Lord Sunday, July 23, 2017.
Mrs. Garrett was born in Pickens County, a daughter of the late Versie Rebecca Finley Waldrop and Colonel B. Waldrop. She loved baking cakes for people, doing ceramic work and working with flowers.
Survivors include one daughter, Cindy Jones of Six Mile, and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 27, from 10-10:45 a.m. at Mountain View Funeral Home, with graveside service to follow at 11 a.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Gardens.
Mrs. Garrett was predeceased by her husband, parents, one daughter, Melissa Robin Garrett, and one brother, Harold Wayne Waldrop.
The family will be at the home. Mountain View Funeral Home is serving the Garrett family.
Rose Ann Collins
Easley — Rose Ann Barnes Collins, 76, passed away Thursday, July 20, 2017, at her home.
Born in Pickens County, a daughter of the late Jay Barnes Sr. and the late Myrtle Swayngham Barnes, Rose Ann was a graduate of Easley High School and of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are a great-niece, Shannon Garrick, and a nephew, Tim Bagwell. In addition to her parents, Rose Ann was predeceased by a brother, Jay Barnes Jr., and three sisters, Bessie Mae Crowe, Mildred Garrick and Marion Faye Bagwell.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, July 28, in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.
