Daniel girls stung by Hornets in playoffs

CENTRAL — Just three days after winning their second straight region championship, the 10th-ranked Daniel Lions’ girls basketball team seemed to have momentum working in their favor during Monday night’s matchup against the fourth-ranked Lower Richland Diamond Hornets.
However, despite a 29-27 halftime lead, the Daniel offense fell apart down the stretch, leaving the Lions trailing 38-33 with four minutes left in the game.
