PIEDMONT — Down three with 30 seconds to go against No. 3 Wren in the third round of the Class 3A playoffs on Monday, the Daniel Lions boys’ basketball team knew their next possession would make or break them with a trip to the Upper State championship on the line.

With the Lions having already drilled 13 three-pointers, Daniel (21-8) guard Simms Disbrow threw it to the corner near Ian Williams and Brady Jones with a game-tying three on the minds of players and fans alike
