Jake Goodnough and Amber King were recently named Liberty High’s Male and Female Athletes of the Year. Goodnough is a three-sport athlete who was named Region Player of the year and All-State in both track and cross country, finishing third at the state XC meet and second in the 1600m run at the state track meet. He was also chosen to run in the Shrine Bowl Run. King was named the Region I-AA Female Athlete of the Year after earning region player of the year and all-state honors in volleyball, basketball and track. She earned two silver medals and one state championship, in the triple jump, in the recent state track meet.
