EASLEY — Dixie Softball of Easley will hold its final day of signups from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday at Hibbett Sports in Easley. Signups may also be done through the weekend at easleysoftball.com.

Players new to the program must bring a copy of their birth certificate to signups, along with the $70 registration fee. Those doing online registration must mail a check to the shown address to complete registration.

To register in person, visit Hibbett Sports located between The Home Depot and Publix. To register online, go to easleysoftball.com and click on the Dixie Softball of Easley link. Then click on the link to register online and follow the instructions.

Once registration has ended, any possible openings will be filled during late signups on a space-available basis the following Saturday, Feb. 2, at Hibbett Sports from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

Divisions offered are: Dixie Darlings (6-8 years of age), Dixie Angels (9-10). Dixie Ponytails (11-12) and Dixie Belles (13-15). Registration fee includes a uniform (jersey, pants and socks) and secondary insurance. The age cutoff for each division is the age of the girl on Dec. 31, 2013.

Evaluations will be held Feb. 22 at Hagood Park. Players will also be sized for uniforms at evaluations. Practice for the season is scheduled to begin in March with the regular season running from April through May. District and state tournaments are scheduled for June and July.

Easley participates in a sub-district that includes teams from Pickens, Liberty, Dacuville, Central/Clemson, Pendleton, Six Mile and Wren.

DSE is governed by a board of parent volunteers who are dedicated to the growth of softball in Easley. The board for Dixie Softball of Easley is comprised of 10 members who have many years of service to the youth softball program in Easley.
