Eagle Scout
Dalton Tobias Vogel, a member of Boy Scout Troop 37 and a resident of Easley, has earned the honor of Eagle Scout, the highest rank that the Boy Scouts offers. Only 4 percent of Boy Scout members ever attain the prestigious honor. Vogel achieved the necessary requirements to receive his Eagle Scout rank last year. For his Eagle project, he built an arbor swing for Easley’s Doodle Trail Park. A ceremony honoring Vogel took place on Jan. 5 at Easley First Baptist Church, the sponsor home for Troop 37. Vogel is the son of Tobias and Lori Vogel and is currently a freshman at the University of South Carolina studying biomedical engineering. Troop 37 is guided by Troop Leader Bryan Dickard, and Vogel is the troop’s 93rd Eagle Scout dating back to 1937.
