Few wins state advocate award

NORTH MYRTLE BEACH — Gail Few, a victim advocate with the Pickens Police Department, was recently honored with a selection as the South Carolina Law Enforcement Victim Advocate of the Year.
Few received the award during a conference in North Myrtle Beach.
A victim advocate for the Pickens Police Deparment for 12 years, Few serves with some 460 other advocates across the state of South Carolina to aid and protect victims of crime in the state.
The role of victim advocate is to help victims get their lives back in order after a crime has been committed against them. A victim advocate follows the case until it has been close.
Few said her motto is “Justice isn’t served until the crime victim is served.”
