Planners approve development

PICKENS COUNTY — A planned shopping center between S.C. Highway 183 and Old Keowee Church Road in Six Mile has
already drawn the interest of potential tenants, the developer said Monday.
The Pickens County Planning Commission voted to approve the project — with stipulations — Monday night during its March meeting.
The land use application was submitted by Jarrett Jernigan of Century Landscaping.
“I put the sign out about three weeks ago, and I’ve had a lot of people call,” he said.
Jernigan and his wife, Bethany, own the 30-acre property.
