Foothills Community Health Care health fair set for this Saturday

CLEMSON — Foothills Community Health Care, Inc., (FCHC), is a community health center that specializes in serving the health care needs of Medicaid sponsored, and medically uninsured residents of Pickens, Oconee and Anderson counties.

On Saturday, Nov. 15, from 9 a.m. until noon, FCHC is sponsoring its first community health fair at their office located at 1011 Tiger Blvd. in Clemson. Services will be offered for adults and children, and will include asthma screening, diabetic or blood glucose screenings, blood pressure checks, and much more. FCHC’s Chief Medical Officer Dr. Manju Lakra said “Our health fair will be fun, informational, and a great event for the entire family that will re- introduce FCHC to this community.” FCHC will have inflatables from Carolina Bounce, prizes, face painting, food, and drinks. The physicians and staff of Foothills are looking forward to this event free of charge for the community.

Other participants that will be present are Kool Smiles dental health program, Pickens County Head Start.
