SIX MILE — The Grumpy Old Men of Six Mile will be having a yard sale on Saturday, July 25, beginning at 7 a.m. at 732 North Main St. in Six Mile.

This event is being held to help raise funds for Pickens County Meals on Wheels (MOW). The huge yard sale will feature a little bit of everything, from household furniture, glassware, garden tools and antiques to barn and attic items. Collectibles are being donated by members of the Grumpy Old Men Organization. The proceeds from the event will go to MOW for the purchase of the utensils for its new $1.5 million facility located in the former Liberty Middle School cafeteria.
John Wade, who is hosting the yard sale, said 100 percent of the money collected will go to MOW.

He also said Six Mile’s Grumpy Old Men have pledged $7,500 to MOW. The group of men has collected approximately $4,000 toward their goal. A couple other events are being planned with hopes of ending the campaign by August 15.
