Hale wins Pickens County Has Talent
EASLEY — Easley High School student Allison Hale took home top honors and a $500 cash prize in Saturday night’s Pickens County Has Talente finale at Easley High.
With her vocal rendition of “How Great Thou Art,” Hale wowed the crowd and got the most votes in a field of 16 contestants to win the competition.
K2, the duo of Hannah and Kaitlyn Kearse, came in second place, taking home a $300 cash prize for their performance of the song “Halleluiah.” Hannah is a student at Anderson University, while Kaitlyn is a student at Easley High.
East End Elementary student Ella Hennessee came in third in the competition with her fresh take on the song “My Favorite Things,” taking home a $200 prize. Beth Wilson, a Pickens High student, earned fourth-place honors with her performance of Michael Jackson’s “Pretty Young Thing,” while Daniel High student Logan McCallum finished fifth after performing his original piano composition “Always and Forever.”
Sponsored by Blue Ridge Electric Cooperative, the second year of Pickens County has Talent raised almost $9,000 for supplies for Pickens County schools.
