Homeschool Arts Academy to open in 2015-16 school year
EASLEY — The Fine Arts Center of Easley is pleased to announce the addition of a Homeschool Arts Academy for the 2015-2016 school year.
“This is the perfect way to start our fifth year in business,” owner Amanda Gunter said. “We’ve always had a lot of homeschooled students participating in our music lessons and acting program, but now we are expanding our courses to fulfill graduation requirements for families who choose to educate their children at home.”
FACE Homeschool Arts Academy will offer high school credit courses in art, music, drama and creative writing. It will also offer performance opportunities in homeschool band, orchestra, choir and theatre. Enrichment courses will be available for younger siblings, but the core of the program is designed for middle and high school students.
In addition to arts courses offered in the FACE Homeschool Arts Academy, core subjects will be offered through the Ignite Family Academy, which will also meet at the Fine Arts Center.
“We are excited to be able to work hand-in-hand with Ignite to provide a well-rounded high school experience for homeschoolers,” Gunter said.
