PICKENS — Two Liberty men already behind bars are facing more charges after an assault against another inmate last month at the Pickens County Detention Center.

South Carolina Law Enforcement Division agents have charged Tedric Lavadas Valentine and Zachery Keith Bishop with second-degree assault and battery, SLED spokeswoman Bobbi Schlatterer said in a news release.

The attack occurred in the detention center on March 6.

Warrants allege Bishop struck the victim multiple times in the head, face and abdomen and Valentine struck the victim
