Leadership Pickens County project to help animal shelter
World Spay Day event set to raise funds Feb. 27
PICKENS — The Leadership Pickens County Class of 2018 is working to help the Pickens County Animal Shelter and save animals’ lives.
For its nonprofit community project, the group is creating Leadership Legacy Park, an outdoor park area at the shelter that will give people and pets a place to connect with the goal of increasing adoptions and decreasing the number of pets that linger in the shelter or worse — are euthanized.
To help with the project, the group has planned a “Barks and Brews” fundraiser at the Appalachian Ale House in Pickens to celebrate World
