Liberty makes plans for spring festival
LIBERTY — The city of Liberty will host its second annual spring festival and cruise-in while kicking off its Music in the Park sereis on Saturday, May 4.
In addition, The Parenting Place’s “Ride for the Child” will end in the city and an awards ceremony will take place as part of the festival.
“We are so excited to be able to partner with The Parenting Place’s ‘Ride for the Child’ this year,” Liberty Festival and Events Chair Tammy Clark said. “It will be a great addition to our event, bringing even more business to the city.”
This year’s festival will offer a wide variety of activities for the whole family.
Scheduled events include: arts, crafts, children’s activities, dunking booth, cake walk, displays from non-profit organizations (10 a.m.-5:30 p.m.); food, music and entertainment from 10 a.m.-10 p.m.; cruise-in from noon-4 p.m.; and final destination of the “Ride for the Child” and awards ceremony at 3:30 p.m.
“Our fall festival in October was very successful, with 85-plus vendors and more than 2,000 in attendance,” Liberty mayor Michael Sheriff said. “We anticipate our partnership with The Parenting Place this spring to increase the attendance of the spring festival and cruise-in.”
Sponsors and vendors are still being accepted. More information can be found online at www.libertyscevents.com.
