LMS to hold open house, concert
LIBERTY — Liberty Middle invites members of the community to tour its newly renovated building from 4-5:30 p.m. this Saturday.
The school is housed in the building that was formerly Liberty High School. According to principal Donivan Edwards, the renovations have made the interior look like a brand new facility.
“We are so proud of our new school, and we want the residents of Liberty to come and see the many changes that have made to this building,” Edwards said.
Following the open house, all current and former staff members of Liberty Middle School are cordially invited to a special dinner at the newly renovated school building. Dinner will begin at 5:30 p.m.
After dinner, LMS will host a concert by the Smoky Mountain Brass Quintet at 7 p.m. on the new stage at the new Liberty Middle School.
These five musicians have shared their talents with people around the world and will provide a delightful evening of enjoyable music for the entire family. They are world-class musicians who have entertained audiences all over the United States, in eight foreign countries and on three continents.
“Liberty Middle is excited to christen our new stage with this outstanding group,” Edwards said. “They have played in the greatest concert halls in the world. I have no doubt they will bring a thrilling performance to our community.”
Tickets for the concert are $10, and seating is limited. Please call (864) 397-3400 for reservations. Liberty Middle School is located at 125 Falcon Lane in Liberty. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Liberty Middle School Fine Arts department.
